The Amsterdam Cruise

Reviews for the The Amsterdam Cruise

Most memorable--watching the traditional wooden fishing boats parade into Spakenburg in the late afternoon. We enjoyed the area around Weesp and Muiden--so beautiful and picturesque.
We covered 400 km, north to Kampen, then south to Weesp. We also stopped in Elburg, Harderwijk, Spakenburg, and had lunch in Zeewolde on the last day. Unfortunately, nothing much was open in Elburg and Kampen on a Sunday, so that was disappointing. Weesp and Spakenburg were wonderful. It was easy to go into Amsterdam from Weesp.
Die Vecht und Utrecht mit den vielen Brücken und Lokalen.
Fahrt auf der Vecht
The freedom of traveling by boat and changing our plans..flexibility. Of we enjoyed a community we could stay there longer. It's an adventure...day by day. A fantastic vacation
Marinas, restaurants, old towns, we got to see how Dutch people live. Bikes etc. we were able to relax ...no schedule

Dear Kathleen, We certainly hope the base was able to air the boat out at the start of your charter so the smell of fuel was diminished.
We had to get a replacement boat as the initial boat's engine blew and we had to move everything to a second boat - seemed that the boat was not properly checked technically before being handed over to us
Most enjoyable holiday and will do barging again. Le Boat were very helpful and friendly. A wonderful barging holiday was had by the party. Will certainly do the barging holiday again.
We visited a lot of the smaller towns which was really interesting. These included Spakenburg, Amersfoort, Harderwijk, Kampen, Meppel and Dronten. We enjoyed the smaller rivers best getting away from the commercial traffic and the strong wind!
Towns as above. Would definitely recommend Amersfoort, Spakenburg and Kampen.
